Hello, blogging world!

I’m a pretty ordinary teacher from an island in the wonderful (if somewhat cold) country of Estonia. I have also been a teacher of geography and history. So I enjoy all kinds of different topics and value being broad-minded. Right now I teach English and love my job, but I would never want it to define who I am. Above all I just want to be a good human being who manages to put something beautiful and nice into the world. I already have done some things. Like having an (in my humble opinion) absolutely adorable son (I hope he doesn’t feel too ashamed when reading this).

I’ve been feeling strange lately. It feels like it’s time to start with something new. I’ve been reading other people’s blogs for years and thought it would be nice to try sharing my own experiences and thoughts with people, especially my friends from other places in Europe and even further. We’ll see how it goes. I’m always ready for failure and the chance to learn from it. πŸ™‚

My main topics will be things that I am passionate about. I love baking and cooking, so quite a few recipes will definitely find their way here (my own, not stolen from anybody) ;). I also love writing poetry, composing music, different languages, thinking about the winding ways of life and how to deal with them, and natural living (some call me “dark green” and some just “crazy”, but who cares as long as I don’t harm anybody and am happy!). And, of course, a very important part of my life is travelling and exploring other cultures, cuisines and ways of life. I will definitely share some of that, too. So if you like such topics, you are welcome to come with me along my newfound path of blogging and sharing my experiences. Let’s do it! πŸ™‚

I had a slight inner dialogue with myself about which language I should use for blogging. But I opted for English because, quite frankly and understandably, my friends from other countries just aren’t very fluent in Estonian. πŸ™‚ Take it as a good way to touch up on your English. And whenever I make mistakes, feel free to correct me. As I’ve already mentioned before, I’m open to learning and developing myself.

Oh, and the photo is just a reminder of the summer, taken from my terrace. Oh happy days…

Be nice! Have fun!

Anni

    Tere Anni,

What a poetic photo–I love it! I’m “dark green” as well! In fact, I’m a Green Party member but will definitely vote for Hillary!

I love the sound of your plan for this blog.

I have bookmarked it and look forward to what’s to follow. Today, I am going to harvest some kale and make some kale chips to go with some beer–Happy Saturday!

Thank you so much for your comment, Lary!
It’s so nice to know there are other “crazy” people in the world besides me too. And kale chips sound awsome! Yumm! A happy Saturday to you!
